Welcome to Trowel and Sword - A Christian Magazine from Australia
Trowel and Sword is a Christian magazine of the Christian Reformed Churches of Australia. This site includes free Christian articles on a large variety of subjects in a growing library that goes back many years.
Youth resources, film reviews, book reviews and music reviews also feature on this website with a growing list of items being added regularly.
As such we seek to be a Christian magazine that reaches all age groups and so have something for everybody in each issue - a goal easier said than done! Learn why we call ourselves 'Trowel and Sword' and more in 'About us'.

As a Christian magazine it is our goal to uphold the values of Jesus Christ as we interact with you the reader as well as those we write about. The words of Christ through the apostle Paul are a standard we seek to uphold:
"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen... Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God." (Ephesians 5:1-2, NIV)
All the material presented on this website and by this Christian magazine in Australia are presented from a Christian Reformed / Presbyterian perspective which seeks to be faithful to the Bible as the Word of God.
This Christian magazine published in Perth (Australia) does not seek to be a theological magazine offering mainly 'heavy' biblical or theological articles. Read the overview of a typical month's issue to see how we seek to provide a balance that all our readers might profit from what we publish.
We pray you will be spiritually built up by what you read in this Christian magazine's website as well as challenged, stimulated and informed. It is our prayer that Christ will be honored by what we produce and by what the Spirit works in you the reader in response to reading Trowel and Sword.
